The COVID-19 Pandemic has made it clear that high-speed internet is an important utility for all New Haveners to have access to. Like electricity and water, it is essential for education, employment and well being to be connected to the information and services that are only available on the internet.

Do I Qualify? Apply for ACP Find a Participating Provider

The ACP is a federal benefit program administered by the FCC that helps eligible households afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare, and more. Eligible households can receive a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households, and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.

If any member of the household participates in the Medicaid program, the Free and Reduced Price School Lunch Program, a Federal Housing Assistance Program, or receives Veterans Pension, regardless of income.

A household is also eligible is eligible for the ACP if household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or any member of the household participates in various other Federal programs, listed at this website: https://www.fcc.gov/acp

In addition, eligible households can receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price. Please note that the Affordable Connectivity Program is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household.

Data Haven surveyed nearly 500 New Haven Public School families during the Pandemic.

73% of respondents said their student often had trouble accessing online learning due to internet connectivity issues.

77% said connectivity issues were negatively impacting achievement in school.
